Description
Project Title: Environmental and Social Audit Mission – Tunis Carthage International Airport Extension
Project Description:
The Tunis Carthage International Airport Expansion Project aims to increase the airport’s capacity to 10 million passengers per year by 2025, through the expansion of the terminal building and parking facilities.
This technical assistance mission focuses on ensuring that the expansion complies with environmental and social standards. Key activities include:

Reviewing the environmental legal & institutional framework.

Preparing an environmental audit.

Developing a scoping report.

Preparing the terms of reference for a detailed Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the airport extension project.

Developing training materials on environmental and social management of airports.
The mission will directly benefit OACA – Office de l’Aviation Civile et des Aéroports, ensuring that the airport expansion is implemented sustainably and in line with best international practices.
