THe grantee is a nonprofit organization that provides audio distribution services, training, and technological tools for public-interest journalism and narrative storytelling. Over 1,500 audio content creators engage with the grantee programs and services annually. The over 400 original radio shows and podcasts supported by it’s production and distribution programs are distributed via public media stations and on digital streaming services. MacArthur funds support general operations; the outcomes include a robust infrastructure for public interest audio reporting and nonfiction storytelling.
