The grantee is a nonprofit organization that works to create the conditions for an inclusive, multiracial, and multicultural democracy. With a diverse set of partner organizations, it develops and implements narrative change strategies and public policy recommendations that support healing and repair in the United States. Core activities include strengthening and coordinating with partner organizations; and researching, testing, and implementing journalism and media interventions. The goal of this work is to inform and educate the American public to have a deeper understanding of historic harms and injustices, and to build empathy, consensus, and support for a more equitable future. This grant provides general operating support.
