Chicago Commitment

The grantee is a group of residents, faith-based and healthcare institutions, nonprofits, and other stakeholders that live and work in Garfield Park. Founded in 2019 by leaders from eleven local nonprofit organizations, It’s mission is to improve the health, wellness, and quality of life for residents of Garfield Park, bringing together community members and stakeholder organizations to address the socioeconomic, systemic, individual, and environmental factors impacting wellness. This award for it provides general operating support as it executes its Quality of Life Plan and supports community and economic development in the East and West Garfield Park neighborhoods of Chicago.
