Founded in 1934, the grantee is an independent planning and policy organization in service of a more equitable, sustainable and prosperous Chicago region. This walking tour seeks to educate communities, inspire municipal action, and cultivate local champions to move the Chicago region toward a more walkable, bikeable, and sustainable future. The walking tour of Brookfield will help communities learn what it takes to build out a pedestrian and bicycle-friendly community. The event targets elected officials, engineers, public works directors and advocates from communities around the region to share best practices, learn how to implement projects and share knowledge that will lead to action.
