Objective :

The Joint Network for European Net-Zero Manufacturing Leadership (JEWEL) project aims to mobilize the European manufacturing sector, particularly innovative SMEs, to address the challenges of net-zero manufacturing and foster the emergence of transformative innovation projects. This initiative aligns with the EU’s Green Deal and Net-Zero Industry Act, seeking to position Europe as a leader in sustainable industrial practices. The project revolves around three key objectives: 1/ Knowledge and Resource Building: Develop a robust knowledge hub on net-zero technologies and circular economic models to support manufacturing companies. 2/ Innovation Support: Provide personalized assistance to companies, from project ideation to implementation, while funding the most innovative solutions to drive decarbonization and digital transformation. 3/ Network Development: Strengthen a European meta-cluster network to ensure long-term collaboration, resource sharing, and strategic influence across the manufacturing sector. JEWEL’s main activities are structured around three pillars: 1/ Net-Zero Knowledge: Organize workshops, mentoring, and tailored support to deepen the understanding and adoption of sustainable technologies and practices. 2/ Project Factory: Facilitate the creation of collaborative innovation projects by connecting SMEs, large corporations, and experts, while securing funding opportunities. 3/ Funding Window: Allocate €1.98 million through open calls to finance innovative projects demonstrating tangible contributions to industrial decarbonization and resilience. With the involvement of eight partners from seven countries, JEWEL adopts a cross-sectoral and pan-European approach, ensuring the inclusion of diverse industrial ecosystems. By combining innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, JEWEL aims to accelerate Europe’s transition to a greener, more competitive, and resilient industrial future.
