Construction of Soma Wastewater Treatment Plant

Contract number: 2009TR16IPR011-02/WKS/27.

The contract will include following works:
The scope of the works contract consists of complete engineering design and construction (civil, mechanical and electrical works), start up of the plant, commissioning, operational training of the beneficiary’s personnel and hand-over the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) to the Municipality, ready for operation.
The wastewater treatment plant will serve to 76,700 p.e1. in 2025 with the second stage serving an estimated 105,550 p.e. in 2040 and will have the extended aeration activated sludge process with biological nitrification / de-nitrification, aerobic sludge stabilization in the activated sludge tanks and sludge dewatering, etc.
This contract will also cover the civil and pipe-laying works including testing and commissioning of the discharge line and extension of the existing main collectors to the plant.
