CVs in Retail: Creating Value at European Level in Retail Sector by ICT based Vocational Materials (LDV)

Detailed Description of Project:

The project was to increase the quality of human resources by updating and developing vocational qualifications, adapting training programmes and testing the certification methodologies from previously implemented projects at EU level for the retail sector. The project contributed to the enhancement of the quality of VET systems.
Specific objectives can be summarized as follows:

• Development of 4 vocational qualifications (Butcher, Delicatessen sales person, Bakery Sales person, Cashier)
• Defining the training needs of the workers in this sector and continually updating their skills and competencies
• Development of modular training programs in 2 areas based on developed VQs
• Enabling continuous training activities
• Piloting of training program 2 weeks each for trainees in 2 of the 4 areas in small groups (25 persons)
• Development of testing and certification systems based on developed VQs,
• Piloting of training program
• Piloting of testing and certification procedure

Outcomes of the project are:

• Developed model for sectoral VQF in line with the VQA in Turkey
• 4 Vocational Qualifications at EU level (Butcher, Delicatessen sales person, Bakery Sales person, Cashier)
• Modular Training Programmes based on VQs in 2 out of 4 areas
• ICT based training materials
• ICT based testing and assessment instrument bank
• Training manuals for trainers
• Continuous training center within TEZ-KOOP-IS
• Common certification
• Dissemination book
