Contract description:

The contract will provide technical assistance, policy advice and capacity-building services to the Justice System Coordinating Council and other stakeholders in the justice sector. A mix of long and short term technical assistance will support relevant actors in furthering the Philippine government's plans to conduct sector-wide reform of the justice system reform with a view to enhance its credibility and accountability and to achieve more efficient justice delivery.
The purposes of this contract are as follows:

To provide technical assistance to the beneficiaries with the objective to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the formal justice system through enhanced operational coordination between the institutional stakeholders and improved management capacity.
Results to be achieved by the Contractor will in principle include:
• Sector-wide coordination of the justice system strengthened and long-term reform strategy developed;
• Backlog curtailed in courts and prosecution services and case management system streamlined and computerized (with focus on 'justice zones');
• Justice sector agencies’ administrative and financial management systems improved.

Duration of contract: 42 months
