Description

The MUTRAP III project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to further implement and develop Vietnam’s trade and economic integration strategy; with particular emphasis on the provision of European experiences. MUTRAP III is expected to start in July 2008 and will last approximately four years. The Service Contract concerns the provision of Technical Assistance services to the Government of Vietnam for the implementation of the project, including the provision of (i) advice on policy matters and legislation, and other specific technical expertise, training and other related tasks as needed, including, implementation of WTO commitments, Free Trade Agreements negotiations, Trade in Services Coordination and Statistics, Competition and Consumer Protection; and (ii) Administrative, preparatory and other tasks relating to planning, monitoring, reporting on project components, procurement, and financial management. A long-term Technical Assistance Team Leader and a pool of short-term experts should be provided.
