Description
Global Objective:
To support the Government of Pakistan to reduce the negative impact of economic deprivation, poverty and social inequality in areas affected by security crisis and natural disasters and to turn this into opportunities to build and empower resilient communities that participate actively in development activities.
Specific Objectives:
To empower local communities through social mobilization and capacity development for enhanced social cohesion and improved social services in mutual engagement with local governments/local authorities and other development actors in districts Zhob, Loralai, Khuzdar and Jhal Magsi, and to develop capacities of local government elected representatives in Balochistan enabling them to effectively perform their roles.
Description:
Scope of Work:
Established and strengthened of an inclusive and representative system of community mobilization for social and economic development federating villages at the level of Union Councils.
Ensured improvement of Community Infrastructure (CPI) and Basic Social Services.
Build self-confidence of women and their ability to independently participate in social and economic activities enhanced.
Enhanced capacity of elected local government representatives in Balochistan to play a proactive role for local development.
