Project Description
The objectives of the survey were to
1) propose macroeconomic scenarios, industry and supply chain scenarios and freight transport scenarios for major industries in the South Asia Region with 2030 as the target year,and
2) formulate recommendations on the direction and possibility of JICA cooperation in the port and maritime sector in South Asia.
This was achieved by identifying short-term and mid-to-long-term challenges in the formation of international arterial transportation networks in the South Asia region, considering the above  scenarios.
