Icelandic Church Aid Member

The role of Church Aid is to promote and coordinate humanitarian and relief work of the Icelandic National Church, both internally and abroad.

The relief work works independently and independently for the benefit of those who suffer from poverty and injustice. We help for self-help and speak poorly. Our goal is to emphasize the choices of non-respondents and push actions that change their living options. We want to look at the ability and skills of each and every one to open possibilities for active participation in society. Advice and support is provided regardless of religion, ethnicity, color, gender or opinion.

Auxiliary work of the Church is a self-employed institution registered in the National Register and Business Register with the National Revenue Director, with the operating form of NGOs. Its board is in the hands of a representative council. Five representatives are appointed by the Church Council, scholarships or games. Each province of the country selects one representative of the Representative Council. No one may sit in the Board of Representatives for more than six consecutive years. The Representative Council shall issue rules and regulations to the Board of Directors and Auditors.

The triple board is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization. It does not hold less than eight meetings annually. Board members are elected for one year at a time. The board may not be re-elected, however, so that the continuous session of the Board of Directors will not exceed 6 years. Two are in deputies. At the same time, both the general and the deputies meet at the meetings of the Board
