Civil Society Development Foundation (CSDF) is a nongovernmental, independent, established in 1994 under an initiative of the European Commission. CSDF is an \"organization for organizations\" that considers itself the development of the NGO sector is an indicator for the state of the community in which citizens live.

Evolution was determined CSDF inevitably needs the transformation of NGOs in Romania: once in the early 90\'s, CSDF response to the acute need for funding of the sector through grant programs that run them, continuing to add their yearly programs and services, designed to meet those specific needs of each stage of development of the NGO sector.
