HealthNet TPO

Health Works, formerly known as HealthNet TPO, has been working for 25 years on restoring and strengthening health and care systems in areas affected by war and disasters. In these areas, people face the immense task of rebuilding their society while suffering from poverty, illness and emotional consequences of conflict. We therefore use health as a goal and as a means. The goal is accessible healthcare for everyone. By working together with local communities, we use health as a means to bring people back together and restore mutual trust.

HealthNet TPO is one of the largest health NGOs in Afghanistan, supporting the health system and communities since 1994. We work in 4 areas in Afghanistan; we strengthen health system infrastructure to improve access to healthcare for all, we integrate mental health services into health care, we provide protection and we strengthen people’s resilience and capacity to rebuild their own lives.
