Mayibuye Ndlovu Development Trust

 Mayibuye Ndlovu Development Programme has been set to become a capable professional institution representative of all eight local communities in the south-eastern portion surrounding the Addo Elephant National park.

Importantly, the success over the short term is dependent on a strong collective commitment and willingness from the Executive Committee (EXCOM) of MNDT to drive the process and leverage the necessary resources in support of the programme.

In addition, the ability of SANParks to offer financial support, but more importantly a preferential concession for the MNDT on the Lendlovu site (and other identified opportunities) will act as a much-needed ‘springboard’ for the MNDT to realise tangible and sustained flows of benefits from the development of a boutique lodge and ancillary activities in a unique Xhosa-chic style. The support of the local Sundays River Citrus Cooperative in involving the MNDT in their planned compost project is also critical to enabling the Trust to reflect it’s involvement in local BBBE projects.
