Baan Dek Foundation

Baan Dek is a Thai registered Foundation with the mission of providing access to education, healthcare, and safety for all vulnerable children. One of the groups we support are children growing up in construction site camps – we estimate that there are tens of thousands of children in this situation throughout Thailand. These migrant children follow their parents to Thailand, where they end up living in precarious temporary shelters with limited access to essential services.

Their vulnerable situation means that they are at risk of having their basic human rights taken away. We work in partnership with real estate and construction companies and local government entities, and have become the leading foundation in this sector. Baan Dek Foundation is supported by the Kids Home Development Network, a worldwide network of partners that facilitate fundraising and advocacy.
