Association Laser Photonique Hyperfrequences & Applications - ALPHA

The ALPHA - Route des Lasers & Hyperfrequencies ® (ALPHA-RLH) competitiveness cluster supports companies and laboratories in the setting up, expertise and financing of innovative projects .

Based in New Aquitaine (Bordeaux, Limoges, La Rochelle and Pau), the cluster brings together talents around Photonics & Microwave technologies and facilitates progress and innovation in the service of economic development.

It is based on six strategic business areas (DAS) and one cross-functional business area (DAT).

Structured around two basic technological DAS: Photonics-Laser (sources and laser processes, optical components, instrumentation) and Electronics-Microwaves (integrated electronics, radiocommunication systems, radar systems), with the support of digital tools (DAT Digital & Industry of the Future ), ALPHA-RLH promotes the notion of collaborative innovation serving four markets (DAS applications):

Health (Medical Devices and Autonomy) : imaging, diagnostic and therapy techniques, technological solutions for people with loss of autonomy;
Communication-Security : components or systems for data transmission, securing data and networks;
Aeronautics-Space-Defence : embedded optical/optronic systems, innovative solutions for shaping materials, communication, navigation, lighting;
Energy-Smart Building : solar technologies, lighting solutions, energy efficiency, energy storage, communicating or connected devices for the building.
