Association of Mechanical Engineers of Slovenia - ZSIS

The precursor of the Association of Mechanical Engineers of Slovenia was the Association of Mechanical Engineers and Technicians of Slovenia (AMETS). It was established in 1961 at the initiative of Prof. Albert Struna. It was then that its organisation structure was formed – a means of connection of local and professional associations under an umbrella Association. In 2002, the Association of Mechanical Engineers and Technicians was renamed into the Association of Mechanical Engineers of Slovenia (AMES), whereas the status of all members of the Association remained the same. Today, AMES unites 15 members under its wing. The Association of Mechanical Engineers of Slovenia collaborates with educational, development and research organisations, with other associations and various other organisations and institutes.
