Teatro Due Mondi

We were born in 1979 as a "group theater" and since then we have been engaged in continuous artistic research aimed at the construction of a "cultured" and "popular" theater (both for indoor and outdoor spaces), rooted in traditions, but capable of speaking a universal language, accessible to all, albeit with different possible interpretations, attentive to grasping the urgencies of contemporary society. One of the objectives is the creation of a new audience through shows capable of creating a dialogue with the audiences with fewer opportunities? (foreign residents, public far from cultural places and socially weak groups, young people). 

We are accompanied by the need to build a human society founded on respect for the other. Our work is made up of different paths practiced: production of shows, workshops for actors and non-actors, organization of multidisciplinary projects. Our productions can be divided into three main groups: street and street shows, theater for the younger generation and shows for adults. The theater is a place of artistic research, and on this we base our investigation on the techniques of the performing arts, on the universal principles that underlie the art of the actor, on the languages that create communication. But the theater is also, and today must strengthen its specificity, the privileged place where art becomes a relationship between man and man.
