Cooperazione Paesi Emergenti (C.O.P.E) / Cooperation Emerging Countries

In 1983 it was born as a Sicilian NGO (Non-Governmental Organization), in Catania from the will of a group of young people who want to operate in the field of International Development Cooperation with the aim of creating more just and solidarity models of relations between the North and South of the world.

In 1984 it was federated with " FOCSIV - Volontari nel Mondo " (Federation of Christian Organisms of International Voluntary Service) and at a national level it collaborates with other associations involved in changing the development model and raising awareness on issues common to the world of volunteering and civil society. 

The commitment of the Association, from its origins, to today has been constant, thanks to the passion and professionalism of the volunteers and operators who carry out their work every day.

Over the years, the goal has been to develop and strengthen relations with the countries of the South of the world together with local partners, through development cooperation projects but also through awareness-raising and training activities in Italy, to act simultaneously on the various fronts of the causes of underdevelopment and of the critical issues connected with it.
