Secretaria de Educacion Superior, Ciencia, Tecnologia e Innovacion (SENESCYT) is a government agency founded in Ecuador with the aim of guiding public policy in matters of higher education, science, technology, innovation and ancestral knowledge through plans, programs and projects that promote equitable access to higher education, universities, polytechnics, technical and technological academic training.

SENESCYT focuses on the enhancement of human talent as well as on research, innovation and technology transfer. Its vision is to become a benchmark entity in the strengthening, articulation and collective construction of the system of higher education, science, technology, innovation and ancestral knowledge by applying criteria of inclusion, quality, equity, relevance, sustainability and a link to social needs that contributes to the productive development of the country.

SENESCYT institutional objectives: 1. Expanding access and strengthening of the university, technical and technological higher education system with the criteria of quality, inclusiveness, relevance, and democracy; 2. Increasing and promoting research, science, innovation and technology transfer and its link with the academic and productive sector
