PVD - Provias Descentralizado (Rural Roads Agency), Peru

Provías Descentralizado is an Executive Unit of the Ministry of Transport and Communications attached to the Vice-Ministerial Office of Transport, responsible for the activities of preparation, management, administration and, if applicable, execution of infrastructure projects and programs for departmental and rural transport in its different modes; as well as the development and strengthening of institutional capacities for the decentralized management of departmental and rural transport.

The Special Project for Decentralized Transport Infrastructure – Provías Decentralizado was created by the merger of Provías Departamental and Provías Rural under the merger by absorption modality, by Supreme Decree No. 029-2006-MTC of August 12, 2006.
