State Water Holding Polish Waters/ Państwowe Gospodarstwo Wodne Wody Polskie
The Polish Water Economy is from January 1, 2018, the main entity responsible for domestic water management.
Polish Waters operate on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 20 July 2017 - Water Law (Journal of Laws, item 1566 and 2180), and the statute (click to download) issued by the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment of 28 December 2017 (Journal of Laws U. 2017 item 2506).
Polish Waters is a state legal person (Article 9 point 14 of the Act of 27 August 2009 on public finance, Journal of Laws of 2016, item 1870, as amended) which includes the following organizational units:
National Water Management Board based in Warsaw;
regional water management boards with headquarters in Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Gliwice, Kraków, Lublin, Poznań, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Warsaw and Wrocław;
50 drainage basin managements;
330 water supervision.
