About
The University of the Federal Employment Agency (HdBA) is a state-recognized and accredited by the Science Council in 2006, founded in 2006, applied sciences. At the Mannheim and Schwerin sites, about 500 undergraduate and graduate undergraduate students qualify as experts in education, work and employment and labor market management.
The study lasts three years, not as usual in semesters, but in nine trimesters, which are always four months long. The special feature of the HdBA: It is a dual study. Dual, because theoretical training and practical phases alternate. The students spend five trimesters at the university in Mannheim or Schwerin. In between, students complete four internships in an employment agency or a job center, in a company, in a chamber or abroad. The practical part is thus far higher than at many other universities and enables students to try their skills early in their professional lives.
