National Social Investment Fund of Tajikistan

On January 27, 1997 the Order of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for No. 55 created the Tajik Social Investment Fund (TSIF) which after completion of implementation of the Pilot project on mitigation of problems of poverty in the Republic of Tajikistan and to start implementation of the Second project on mitigation of problems of poverty in the Republic of Tajikistan according to the Order of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan of February 28, 2002 for No. 67 was renamed into the National Social Investment Fund of Tajikistan (NSIFT). NSIFT - independent structure which purpose is recovery and development of objects of a social infrastructure, rendering assistance in increase in activity of the population in the solution of a social infrastructure creation of new workplaces, development and implementation of social projects with participation of citizens, and also facilitates coordination of programs within projects which are performed by the local and international nongovernmental organizations. NSIFT conducts the activities according to the current legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, international legal acts which are acknowledged and approved by the Republic of Tajikistan, instructions of the international financial institutions, donors, the Management of actions and the Charter.
