About
LAMORO Development Agency was founded in 1995 by the initiative of over 50 Public Bodies (Municipalities and Chambers of Commerce) based in the rural areas of southern Piedmont (North-West of Italy), with the challenge of promoting a sustainable economy based on the capitalization of local resources, on the promotion of territorial identity and on the enhancement of human resources.
Over the years LAMORO has worked to make the territory grow by implementing and managing European, national and regional funds, paying particular attention to sustainable and inclusive growth. LAMORO supports the synergy between local development policies and European strategies in the implementation of transnational projects. In this way, local organizations can benefit from the added value that comes from sharing good practices and innovative methods with other countries.
In order to support local authorities, LAMORO implements a development strategy based on the interaction of public and private partnerships. It involves stakeholders through networking and the identification of concrete answers to the growing needs in the various sectors (green economy, energy efficiency, innovation, social needs, cultural and environmental heritage, equal opportunities, employment, enhancement of human resources ...)
