Cyprus International University

Cyprus International University is a centre of education with its modern campus, fitted with all the latest technological capabilities that the 21st century demands. CIU, with the principle of “Better teaching: Better learning”, is constantly updating and renewing its infrastructure, its research and educational facilities; parallel to the contemporary developments. CIU was established on 4th February 1997, following a five-year study, in Nicosia, the capital city of the island of Cyprus, the centre of culture and history of the Mediterranean. The University represents the contemporary aspect of Cypriot life. CIU started with 12 undergraduate programs in three faculties, offering three associate degree programs in one Vocational School in Nicosiain the academic year 1997-1998. In the academic year of 2001-2002 CIU had grown to include two dormitory buildings, an information system centre, a student centre, rectorate building and one faculty building in the Haspolat campus. In 2015 our university has the following faculties: Agriculture, Arts and Sciences, Communication, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Pharmacy and Law. There are 39 departments and, in addition, the School of Tourism and Hotel Management and the School of Applied Sciences offer programmes. There is also a vocational school offering four programmes of two years duration and Master and Postgraduate programmes provided by the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research.
