About

The Finnish Ice Hockey Federation is a large Finnish sports organization with approximately 75,000 licensed players and approximately 200,000 active sports enthusiasts. The vast majority of the sport's enthusiasts are children and young people, which is why high quality criteria have been set for the association's operating methods. The Jääkiekoliitto is one of Finland's largest youth education organizations.

The purpose of the ice hockey association is to offer all Finns the opportunity to get added value from ice hockey in their lives. The aim of the ice hockey association's strategy is to grow the hockey family in a diverse way. The values that guide the operation are respect, community spirit, fun and the pursuit of excellence.

Ice hockey has maintained its strong position on the Finnish sports field and was again clearly the most interesting sport in Finland in 2016. More than 2 million Finns over the age of 18 are somewhat or very interested in hockey (Sponsor Navigator 2017).
In the 2017-2018 season, the Jääkiekkoliito has a total of 33 official partners, and in addition several smaller supplier, travel organizer, sports academy, and license partnerships.
