The Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCF is part of the Medical Center – University of Freiburg. We see ourselves as a coordination center for all oncology-related activities at the medical center. The German Cancer Aid has certified the Tumor Center Freiburg - CCCF as one of the 15 German Oncological Top Centers and supports us with funding.

Cancer patients come to us for treatment via central outpatient departments. Decisions are made on their individual therapy by interdisciplinary tumor conferences including doctors from all participating disciplines. All treatments are accompanied and monitored by our quality management system.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg – CCCF cooperates closely with national and international tumor centers as well as with hospitals and doctors in the region. We foster cancer research by providing foundational resources, such as biobanks or the Freiburg Cancer Registry. In clinical trials, our patients have the opportunity to receive promising new medicines that are not yet available to the general public.

In all of these activities, we never lose sight of the needs of our patients. A wide range of supplementary services are designed to cater to their well-being, including psycho-oncological care, social counseling, and home care. Most services are free of charge and are funded primarily by donations.
