Office for Repatriation and Aliens (Urząd do Spraw Cudzoziemców)

The Office for Foreigners began operating on July 1, 2001 as the Office for Repatriation and Foreigners, and then in 2007 it was transformed into the Office for Foreigners.

The Head of the Office for Foreigners is the central government administration authority competent in matters of foreigners entering the territory of the Republic of Poland, passing through this territory, staying on it and leaving it, granting international protection in Poland and providing social assistance and medical care to persons applying for such protection, granting asylum to foreigners and granting temporary protection, with the exception of matters reserved for other authorities.
