Yunnan Academy of Scientific and Technical Information

Yunnan Institute of Scientific and Technological Information, formerly known as the Yunnan Provincial Institute of Scientific and Technological Information, was established in October 1971, directly under the Department of Science and Technology of Yunnan Province, and is a provincial-level public welfare independent scientific research institution fully funded by the government. It is the science and technology information resource center, science and technology decision-making consulting research center, regional international science and technology cooperation and technology transfer center with the largest collection of science and technology literature and the widest coverage in Yunnan Province. In August 2007, with the approval of the Office of the Yunnan Provincial Organizational Establishment Committee, it was officially renamed as the Yunnan Institute of Science and Technology Information. In June 2011 and January 2018, it was approved by the Organization Office of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China to list "Yunnan Provincial Technology Transfer Center and Shanghai-Yunnan Technology Transfer Base" and "Science and Technology Innovation Center for South Asia and Southeast Asia" in the institute. In June 2017, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology decided to list the "China-South Asia Technology Transfer Center" and "China-ASEAN Innovation Center" in our institute, and set up the "two centers" secretariat in our institute.
