The company was founded in 1974, under the name of the Făgăraş Fruit and Vegetable Processing and Industrialization Enterprise, and focused on the production of potato flakes, on an American manufacturing line with a production capacity of 750 kg flakes/hour. Later, its name was changed to the Potato Production and Industrialization Enterprise (IPIC), and later, in 1991, it changed its name to Roclip SA Făgăraş.
