Syrian Civil Administration Center

SYCAC is an independent non-profit established in 2012 in Türkiye. We work to open and protect civic space by empowering communities and lifting the leadership of women and other marginalized groups in peace processes and early recovery. SYCAC is legally registered and headquartered in Gaziantep (Türkiye) and is also licensed in Syria (Aleppo).

We take an integrated, multisector approach with four main pillars: (1) strengthening civic space and local capacities, (2) peacebuilding and social cohesion, (3) livelihoods, entrepreneurship, job creation and employability, and (4) rural development and food security. Across all programs we apply gender and conflict sensitivity and we rely on dialogue—during planning, implementation, and evaluation. We also use communication, advocacy, and outreach to share key messages and support conflict resolution. Our values guide daily choices: neutrality and non-discrimination; integrity and transparency; diversity and respect for difference; accountability to communities; and equity. In short, do no harm, be fair, and stay honest.
