The Research and Innovation Foundation (IDEK) is the national body responsible for supporting and promoting research, technological development and innovation.

The implementation of its mission is achieved through the main activities of the Foundation, which include the design and management of research projects and innovative activities, support for the inclusion of research providers in the field of research services in Europe and Europe. to businesses to develop innovation, technology transfer and international networking.

IdEK was founded in 1996, on the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, with the aim of promoting scientific and technological research in Cyprus. He is a legal entity under private law with a non-profit character and is registered as a Foundation based on the Law on Associations and Law Institutions of 1972 (57/1972).
