CDECF - Community Development and Environment Conservation Forum

Community Development and Environment Conservation Forum (CDECF) was established in 1998 AD with the aim of building equitable, just and empowered society through social transformation and mobilizing local resources and capacities. CDECF is registered as non-profit making, non political and non-governmental organization in District Administration Office. It is also affiliated with and registered in Social Welfare Council, NGO Federation Nepal and NGO Coordination Committee in 1998. The organization has its main office in district head quarter Chautara and established project site offices at Bansbari VDC and Sipapokhare VDC as well. From its establishment, CDECF is engaged in organizing communities through right based program activities to ensure self-reliance and achieve sustainable development. CDECF has set a vision of formation of prosperous and equitable society though wise utilization and commercialization of local resources while identification of local resources and mobilization, commercialization, cooperative and sustainable management are its mission for establishing prosperous society. Following these vision and mission, it has already completed fourteen years with experiencing lots of up and down. It is well known fact that at the beginning of establishment of organization when there was no external donor agencies’ support, CDECF was involved in organizing community people through mobilizing local human resources to carry out different programs such as environmental conservation, prevent domestic violence, plantation and sanitation activities. We are hearty indebted with village development committees (VDCs) and District Development Committee (DDC) for supporting to organize these activities.
