Mozilla Foundation

The Mozilla Foundation is a non-profit organization is headquartered in Mountain View, California in the Silicon Valley that seeks to retain the internet as a public resource that is open and accessible to all.

Founded in 2003, the organization establishes development policies, manages critical infrastructure and oversees Mozilla trademarks and copyrights. Its subsidiary, the Mozilla Corporation, employs many Mozilla developers and coordinates the distribution of the Mozilla Firefox web browser and Mozilla Thunderbird email client.

Mozilla invests in innovative concepts, global leaders and people's convening and campaigning power. For over 20 years the organization has collaborated across borders, disciplines and technologies to drive a movement to fulfill the internet's full potential by supporting people who can develop a more human-centered internet via fellowships and awards.

These leaders create new technology, create toolkits and curriculum, launch campaigns, prototype solutions and influence legislation all across the world.
