Access Now

Access Now is a non-profit organization created in 2009 to defend and expand people's digital civil rights all over the world. It began as an emergency response team of technologists to assist people to regain access to the internet and ensure the safety of their communications.

Access Now has built a community of 80+ team members around the world from Costa Rica to Tunis to New York. In 2013, the emergency response team evolved into the Digital Security Helpline which provides at-risk communities with real-time technical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week and thousands of activists, independent journalists and human rights advocates have benefited from the Helpline since its inception. Access Now also sponsors events such as an annual Human Rights.
