About
The opening of CECI-Mali in 1984 coincided with one of the worst droughts the country had ever known. CECI-Mali focused on strengthening the capacities of its partners, especially in terms of creating, defending and implementing development policies that uphold human rights and gender equality. Today, while continuing to support of sustainable economic development in rural areas, CECI-Mali works primarily in communities affected by the conflict that has persisted in the country since 2012.
The mission of CECI is to combat poverty and exclusion. To this end, CECI builds the development capacities of disadvantaged communities. We support peace building, human rights, and equity initiatives. We mobilize resources and promote exchanges of knowledge.
