Ministry of Regional affairs and Agriculture Estonia

The Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture is a government ministry of Estonia responsible for policies regarding agriculture, food market and food safety, animal health, welfare and breeding, bioeconomy and fishing industry in Estonia

The activities of the Ministry of Regional Development and Agriculture aim to create the conditions for the sustainable and diversified development of Estonia's rural, agricultural and fisheries economy, to ensure safe and adequate food and feed, and to ensure good animal health and welfare and plant health and protection.
In order to achieve the objectives, the Ministry develops sectoral policies, legislation and requirements, organises their implementation and evaluates their results.
The Ministry draws up national programmes for the collection and conservation of genetic resources of agricultural crops.
