Description
The IDB country strategy (CSB) for the period 2013-2017 aims to support the Government of Belize in improving public expenditure efficiency and effectiveness as well as promoting private sector development and sustainable export-led growth. The strategy concentrates on four priority areas: education, tourism, transport and trade and tax policy.
In October 2016, the Inter-American Development Bank, in collaboration with the Caribbean Development Bank and the World Bank, held a Procurement Fair in Belize City. More than 100 local, regional and international contractors, consultants and service providers attended and received detailed information on procurement opportunities that are available for development projects in Belize that are financed by the three institutions.
