About

AFAD is a national non-governmental organization (NGO) of public utility, not for profit, created in Togo in 1995 to promote the integral development of the Man and his environment. It has acquired NGO status with the Togolese State and has signed a program agreement with it.
AFAD considers "Health as a fundamental basis for sustainable development".
AFAD's vision is to see landlocked rural communities capable of transforming their environments themselves through integral, sustainable and adapted development actions leading to their socio-health, financial and food empowerment while respecting human dignity.
AFAD's mission is to extend, through its actions, a fraternal hand to poor communities by gradually bringing them well-being and by working to promote and improve the daily health of their populations in general and the most vulnerable layers, especially children and women.
