NADRA - National Database & Registration Authority

In 1998, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) was founded as the National Database Organization (NDO) which then merged with the Directorate General of Registration (DGR) in 2000 to become NADRA, an independent corporate body with the ability to operate independently and ensure effective governance within Pakistan.

NADRA has gained worldwide recognition for its achievement in proposing solutions for identification, e-governance and secure documents that achieve multi-faceted goals of minimizing identity theft, protecting its clients' interests and aiding the public.
