Sorouh for Sustainable Development Foundation

Sorouh for Sustainable Development Foundation has been registered within the Non-Governmental Organizations( NGO) under number (1E74034). It gives a special consideration for capacity building development and the transfer of environmentally sound technologies to Iraq. It participates in the integration of social, economic and environmental sustainable development in policy-making at the local level and the production of knowledge related to sustainable development, It supports the access to knowledge and encourages the use of ICT for empowerment.

VISION :
To have a sustainable, stable and prosperous Iraq, where all resources are utilized in a sustainable manner catering to the well-being of Iraq’s current and future generations

MISSION :
Sorouh`s mission is to explore and implement all available and potential means that will complement on-going development efforts aimed at achieving a sustainable Iraq. It will inspire, support, build, and develop the capacity of Iraqis in their strive to reconstruct Iraq

Objectives:
1. Promotion of the formulation of Iraq National Sustainable Development Strategy to ensure a better life for the Iraqis.
2. Promotion of knowledge building, awareness, networking and partnerships among relevant groups of Iraqi Society about sustainable development.
3. Effective cooperation mechanism among relevant stakeholders, including public authorities, intergovernmental organizations, private sector, children, youth and women's groups.
4. Development and Implementation of Poverty Alleviation and provide programs and humanitarian relief to ease the suffering of Iraqis.
5. Protect and preserve the environment and prevent the threats of pollution
