STREAMS OF MERCY was started  as a Community based Organization. We mobilize  Communities to offer holistic care to the children living with HIV/AIDS, Orphans, vulnerable groups (Widows, Women, Child Mothers, and Elderly).

 Streams of Mercy exists to speak for and defend the rights of Vulnerable Children/ people from all backgrounds regardless of the creed, race, tribe etc. Streams of Mercy helps  the Vulnerable overcome obstacles of life that may cause them to give up with life. We address the , Economic, Social, Health and Educational developments.

We are inspired by a dream where all Children living with AIDS/ Vulnerable groups regardless of their social background can look forward to a bright future through given opportunities;

VISION.

Society where vulnerable people and Children living with HIV/AIDS are empowered and are living a happy life.

MISSION.

To mobilize the Communities to provide emotional and practical support to vulnerable people and Children living with HIV/AIDS.

MISSION STATEMENT.

Proverbs 31:9. Open your mouth, judge righteously; defend the rights of the poor and needy.

CATEGORIES OF GROUPS UNDER streams of mercy.

  1. Children living with HIV/AIDS.
  2. Orphans
  3. People with disabilities (PWDs).
  4. Elderly
  5. Mothers living with HIV/AIDS.
  6. Women and youth empowerment.
  7. Widows
  8. Single mothers heading homes

  INTERVATIONS.

  1. We provide welfare needs of the orphans and Children living with HIV/AIDS. (Medical support.
  2. We provide care and support to needy orphans in the community. For example, Clothing’s, sweaters, blankets, food security, food supplements.
  3. We enable the orphans access appropriate health services.
  4. We provide skills training(Tailoring,hair dressing,catering, knitting,agribusiness etc training to caregivers of Children living with HIV/AIDS, School drop outs(GIRLS). Single mothers (Economic empowerment).
  5. We enable Children access School by providing scholastic support.
  6. Protect children from all abuses.
  7. We offer nutrition to the malnourished Children.
  8. Provide eye glasses to the elderly.and all who have sight problems
  9. Give periodic support to inmates.
  10. Provide tools to PWDs to start up income generating activities.
  11. Offer psycho-socialsupport to depressed persons. I.e Children effected with HIV/AIDS.
  12. Lobby for volunteer teachers to vulnerable children schools,single mothers skills training centers
  13. Train youth in life skills.

ACTIVITIES.

  1. Distribution of scholastic materials to school going pupils.
  2. Identify and refer all children who effected with HIV/AIDS and refer them to near by health centers for treatment. .
  3. Train and encourage mother to join up saving groups where they are able to access money and be able to start up income generating activities.
  4. Train caregivers in tailoring skills   
  5. Child advocacy.
  6. Home visitation
  7. Trainsingle mothers on home based care.
  8. Liaise with NGOs,churches,local government and well-wishers for support.
  9. Train women on menstrual hygiene.
  10. Supply of maize seeds to community for food security.

  • Bunyadeti Children Center - Buhehe Sub- County.
  • Bulecha Children Center - Masinya Sub- County.
  • Sikuda Children Centre - Sikuda Sub - County.
