About
Youth Bridges Budapest, based in Hungary, is a youth foundation with the aim to support young people dealing with the challenges of the 21st century and to help them spend the early stages of their adult lives actively and productively to build up their successful future and to become active citizens, create value and contribute to social development. We pay special attention to social diversity and intercultural dialogue for peaceful societies; sustainable lifestyle and environmental awareness; and the future of (digital) learning and educational innovation. We aim to develop transformative competencies through supporting social entrepreneurship, international mobility and volunteerism, and organising non-formal education events.
The members of the organisation have different professional background (social studies, adult education and career counselling, tourism management) and participation and/or work experience with the following programs:
- European Solidarity Corps (former EVS, both short and long term)
- EU Aid Volunteers (capacity building, certification mechanism)
- Global Education Network of Young Europeans
- Erasmus+ youth exchanges, training courses (KA1), strategic partnerships, cooperation for innovation and exchange of best practices (KA2).
As a partner in the long-term projects, we provide high-quality professional contribution, IO leadership, training & development activities, research & development, writing guides and manuals in the topics of digitalisation, sustainability and environmental protection, youth mental and physical wellbeing and social inclusion. We can host a joint staff training event or a blended mobility in Hungary and take care of all the practical arrangements of international events. We disseminate the project activities and results on several channels – Facebook page, Facebook group with 2000+ members, Instagram, quarterly newsletter, local events, international network on European level.
Furthermore, we organise and co-organise our own learning mobility projects both abroad (Turkey, Georgia, Caribbean) and in Hungary in various topics like environmental protection, resilience, migration and social integration and digital media. Our rich and quality learning mobility opportunities provide a solid bases and a reliable target group for our local and international youth activities.
We are motivated to take part in project development and implementation of Erasmus+ KA1 mobility and KA2 strategic partnership projects, Visegrad Fund, Europe for Citizens, etc. We are also very open to cooperate with Erasmus+ partner countries.
