Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) is an international non-government organization established in the Philippines in 2003 that focuses on capacity building. It seeks to promote sustainable practices to address social problems in the developing world, especially in Asia and Africa.

ASSIST takes pride in its process-oriented approach to capacity building towards social improvement and sustainable transformation. Its goal is to empower target groups and make them resilient to the social, economic and environmental challenges - through three distinct yet coherent arms. Development Solutions has grown into a solution provider leveraging over 15 years of experience and strong expertise in our priority areas, delivering a range of comprehensive technical assistance and capacity building services. Our learnings and proceeds from the various projects we implement are best put to use by Social Actions through programs that create sustainable and lasting impact. Our social enterprise, AsianNGO, through its rich information platform and publication called Impact, leverages on ASSIST to serve as a pillar in building capacity among key development stakeholders.

With HQ in the Philippines and offices in Cambodia, India and Vietnam, ASSIST has now evolved into a developmental organization with passion and purpose for progress and prosperity across the region. Through its Partner to Progress philosophy, it has successfully implemented over 300 projects such projects in collaboration with the European Union, United Nation Environment Program (UNEP), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), USAID, International Finance Corporation (IFC), GIZ, and DEG/ KFW amongst other organizations. To date, we have implemented projects in 20 countries that have impacted 1 million people’s lives.

ASSIST Development Solutions have transformed the learnings and experiences from these projects, creating an edge when it comes to designing projects; implementing programs with extended partners and experts; and achieving the outlined objectives. Within Development Solutions:

Development Consulting is a multidisciplinary consulting unit that delivers key projects and technical services in numerous priority sectors for development stakeholders.

Private Sector Partnerships catalyzes and bridges the private, development and civil sectors to create meaningful cooperation as global partners in development.

Creative Lab addresses the need for impactful communication and sustainability of development programs, campaigns and projects through a variety of communication, advocacy and content development services.

Fundraising Services serves as an avenue for us to support the resource mobilization efforts of international and local NGOs, aligned with their advocacies.
