About

Innlandet County Municipality is a regional development actor. We are responsible for important societal tasks within upper secondary education, transport, community planning, climate and environment, cultural heritage, business development, culture, dental health and public health. Innlandet County Municipality owns and operates 23 upper secondary schools, 41 dental clinics and 2 folk high schools. In addition, we own and operate 6,872 kilometers of county roads. We are also responsible for public transport in the county, both bus and ferry.Overall goals: Sustainable development based on the Inland's opportunities and cultural values; Relevant competence for a competitive working and business life; Well-functioning and secure infrastructure that promotes settlement and business development; Living cities and settlements and good quality of life for the inhabitants.

Oppland was, together with Hedmark, one of the only two landlocked counties of Norway. Oppland and Hedmark counties were merged on 1 January 2020 to become the new county Innlandet.
