Calmadow Construction and Contractor Company (Calmadow) is a private company established by a group of top-notch professionals in business and engineering in February 2008. It was started out of a need to fill up gaps in the building and construction industry, an area largely neglected of professionalism following the instability in Somalia. Prior to its set up, majority of the professionals shunned working inside Somalia out of fear of incessant conflicts and for the reason of the lure of better remuneration across borders.
