Bersntoler Kulturinstitut / Istituto Culturale Mòcheno

For more than 30 years, the Bersntoler Kulturinstitut, the municipalities, the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Autonomous Region of Trentino-Alto Adige / Südtirol, associations and the community have been working to promote and enhance the Mòchena language.

The activities undertaken intend to promote the use of the language at all levels and in all sectors of the community also by means of the spread of the use of writing, increase the degree of self-awareness and implement concrete initiatives aimed at strengthening the prestige of the Mòchena language.

The activities aim to continue the implementation of the lexical database (Beirterpònk Project) also by processing and monitoring the neologisms, to develop teaching tools and to carry out dissemination initiatives. In addition to research, in fact, a great deal of space is reserved for training, especially in the form of a seminar and for dissemination through the various channels available: internet, TV, radio, conferences, publications and courses.
